Further Secrets of C.H.R.O.M.E. To Be Unveiled This Holiday with the Release of Cars 2: The Video Game for Nintendo 3DS.
BURBANK, Calif. — (September 29, 2011) – Disney Interactive Studios today announced that Disney•Pixar’s Cars 2: The Video Game is fast on its way to becoming the ultimate spy adventure. Since the game’s release on June 21, 2011, game critics have praised the title for its widespread appeal to both a younger and older audience, stunning visuals, and action racing gameplay fueled by multiplayer capabilities for up to four players. The next addition to this international game of espionage is expected to come this holiday with Cars 2: The Video Game for Nintendo 3DS™.

Available this holiday, Cars 2: The Video Game for Nintendo 3DS will offer the very best in eye-popping gameplay through the system’s stereoscopic 3D display. The game will take advantage of StreetPass™ communication, allowing players to unlock and share new skins. Multiplayer action with up to four players will also be available.
Development for Cars 2: The Video Game was led by Avalanche Software in collaboration with the filmmakers at Pixar Animation Studios. The game features full 3D support for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and is also currently available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and Windows PC/MAC. An additional Nintendo 3DS version of the game is currently in development by Firebrand and is expected to release this holiday. The console versions are all rated E 10+, while the Nintendo DS version is rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). The Wii, PlayStation®3 system and Xbox 360 versions are available for a suggested retail price of $49.99, while the Windows-based PC/Mac, and Nintendo DS versions are available for $29.99. Pricing and ESRB ratings for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS version of the game have yet to be established.
