Video Game’s Launch to Coincide with Nationwide Release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Live-Action CG Animated Film on December 17, 2010.
LOS ANGELES - December 7, 2010 - D3Publisher (D3P), a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, today announced Yogi Bear: The Video Game has shipped in North America. In Yogi Bear: The Video Game, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, players take on the role of Yogi Bear in a platform adventure to save Jellystone Park from being shut down forever. Based on the all new live-action CG animated Warner Bros. Pictures feature film Yogi Bear, Yogi Bear: The Video Game is now available at stores nationwide on the Wii system and the Nintendo DS family of hand-held systems to coincide with the North American release of the movie on December 17, 2010.
In Yogi Bear: The Video Game, players will get to put on the hat and tie of the lovable Yogi Bear to discover and interact with the animal creatures and visitors of Jellystone Park. Players will be able to explore, jump, crawl, belly slide, sneak, and zip-line through majestic Jellystone Park locales in search of protected wildlife, adventure, and sometimes the distraction of a “pic-a-nic” basket or two! However, be careful, Ranger Smith doesn’t tolerate disturbance of his campers and keeps a watchful eye over the park. Luckily there is Yogi Bear’s trusty sidekick Boo Boo, to help Yogi get through difficult challenges and antics.
“Just in time for the holiday season, fans of all ages can enjoy the adventures of Yogi Bear as he proves to be smarter than the average bear,” said Peter Andrew, vice president of production, D3P. “Players can now explore all the locales and wildlife that exist inside Jellystone Park like they have never seen before.”
Based on the film directed by Eric Brevig and characters created by Hanna-Barbera Productions Yogi Bear: The Video Game is developed by Monkey Bar Games on Wii and 1st Playable Productions, LLC. on Nintendo DS and is rated “E” (Everyone - Comic Mischief) by the ESRB. For more information on the video game, please go to the Web site at www.YogiBearVideoGame.com.
