SEGA Acquires Relic Entertainment and THQ a Few IP’s

SEGA has announced that they have acquired Relic Entertainment from THQ. If you’re not in the know Relic is best known for their Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40k Dawn of War franchises.

Says SEGA:

The acquisition is a strategic fit and a critical step in growing our business," John Cheng, President and CFO, SEGA of America said. "They are a well-respected studio with a reputation for making creative and innovative games and we look forward to seeing what great things we can create together over the coming years.”

Relic Entertainment was established in 1997 and has sold well over 10 million copies of their titles worldwide.
