El Segundo, Calif. - Oct. 28, 2010 - Today, KONAMI announced the latest video game in the famed Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s series is now available in retail stores nationwide. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tagforce 5 for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) let’s players take their skills on the go and indulge in the high-pace dueling that has made Yu-Gi-Oh! a worldwide favorite trading card game, animated series and video game series. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tagforce 5 brings a unique and original storyline torn from the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s animated series on Cartoon Network and the CW for Kids on the 4Kids Network. In addition to the rich storyline, Yu-Gi-Oh! Tagforce 5 brings unique attributes to leverage the strength of the PSP, such as ad-hoc wireless gameplay, incredible 3D animations and hundreds of hours of content, offering one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! Tagforce games to date.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tagforce 5 takes fast-paced dueling on the go, in the latest in the PSP exclusive game. The game takes places during the reconstruction of New Domino City and Satellite, as peace is finally settling in from the fallout of the last battle with the Dark Signers. As the city begins to resign back into normalcy, a mysterious duelist named Ghost and three other suspicious strangers from Yliaster arrive. Soon after their arrival, Yusei learns of their ominous intentions and realizes he is the only one who could defeat the new adversaries who stand to threaten the safety and security of the fragile New Domino City.
Players duel throughout the rich story mode as Yusei, challenging the new infidels, along with playing and interacting with over 100 characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe or jump into Free Duel and get right into heart of the trading card game. Dueling is relatively endless, as the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tagforce 5 brings 4,700 cards into play including cards from the Star Strike Series, set to release in November 2010. Players can battle against friends, using the PSP System’s ad-hoc gameplay to allow up to four players to compete against each other or team up and compete wirelessly. All these features add up to hundreds of hours of gameplay and one of the most expansive Yu-Gi-Oh! titles to date.
