Who
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) on behalf of the Dr. Randy Pausch Scholarship Fund, an initiative created to support students in pursuit of careers in game design, development and production.
What
The AIAS is now accepting applications for the Dr. Randy Pausch Scholarship Fund for the 2008-2009 academic school year. The AIAS will award four students attending accredited universities with $2,500 in financial aid in preparation for entering the video game industry. Scholarship recipients will be announced in July 2008.
When
The extended deadline for submissions is Monday, June 30, 2008.

About Dr. Randy Pausch
The scholarship fund honors Dr. Randy Pausch, professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Dr. Pausch, a co-founder of CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), has had great influence within the industry through his teachings, sabbaticals at Walt Disney Imagineering and Electronic Arts and consultation with Google on user interface design.
